Let’s chat about summer. Not the beach-and-margaritas part (although, that will be a part of my summer:)), but what this season really means when you’re a financial pro juggling marketing, business, and life.

Summer is the season I intentionally slow things down. Instead of pausing everything, I create a strategy that gives me space to reset without going dark. And this year, I’m switching things up in a big way—with simplicity and visibility at the core.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes peek into how I’m managing marketing this summer, what’s changing (and what’s not), and how you can make this season work for you, not against you.

My Summer Content Strategy: The “Five Minute Marketing Reset” Series

Yep, the podcast is still going—but it’s getting a makeover but just for the summer. I am doing a “Five Minute Marketing Reset Series.”

Short, bite-sized episodes which are nine total (June + July). These episodes will be focused on: Social Media, Email Marketing, and Mindset

Why? Because I know you’re wrapping up tax season, craving some breathing room, and maybe not up for a full episode. This is marketing support without the overwhelm. Just simple, practical tips you can listen to in five minutes or less.

Scaling Back Without Ghosting

Here’s how I’m staying consistent without overextending:

  • Social media: 2-3 posts/week (instead of 5+)
  • Still active on Instagram + LinkedIn to stay connected
  • Weekly 5 minute podcast and shorter blog
  • Shorter weekly newsletter

August however is a hard reset. I do this every year. Fully stepping back (no podcast, blogs, or newsletter)

But I don’t go completely dark. I still pop into the DMs, comment, and keep the human side of marketing alive.

Staying Connected + Reconnecting

Summer is the perfect time to reconnect with your business besties. You know, the ones you’ve followed forever but haven’t DM’d in a while because #LifeBeLifeing.

If someone’s been on your heart lately—reach out. This season is a reminder that meaningful conversations are marketing, too.

What’s Really Going On in Marketing (Spoiler: It’s Not Just You)

Let’s be real: everything feels heavy right now.

🌍 The economy ⚖️ Politics 📉 Platform changes every 2 seconds

And marketing? It’s shifting in ways we didn’t see coming. One of the biggest changes? The mindset around marketing. People are more cautious. Budgets are tighter. AI is here, and it’s not going anywhere.

I even saw a marketer I’ve followed for years share how not embracing AI early cost her a job. But she also said it was a blessing—it pushed her to pivot. That stuck with me.

The takeaway: we need to be open to change if we want to stay relevant.

I’m Giving Myself Space to Learn—Without Pressure

You want some truth? I’m tired. I haven’t even touched the new Instagram editing tool, Edits, yet because… it’s all too much for me right now. I spent months learning CapCut, and now there’s a whole new thing?

That’s why this summer is all about low-pressure engagement:

  • Staying active
  • Watching trends quietly
  • Gathering insights
  • Avoiding burnout

Especially for my financial pros—I’m planning to do a quiet deep dive on what’s working for you on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. I want to better understand what’s clicking, so I can share those insights in the fall.

What’s Coming This Fall

When September hits, I’m back with:

  • Fresh solo episodes
  • Guest experts (think: systems, websites, coaching—all for financial pros)
  • New insights from my summer marketing deep dive

Until then? Let’s keep things simple, real, and sustainable.

And if you want help mapping out a marketing strategy that works for your season of life, I’d love to chat.
